Meet Our Staff - Education: Then and Now…Dr. Neil Zane is a native New Yorker who grew up with his family in Westchester. Heading off to college in Worchester, Massachusetts, Dr. Zane graduated from Clark University in 1973 with a B.A. in Psychology. He graduated from Columbia School of Dentistry with his Doctorate in 1979. Within a year after he had earned his doctorate, Dr. Zane initiated an educational journey that continues to this day. In 1980, he completed a post-graduate program in prosthodontics. Six years later, he completed a course at the Panke Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida, focusing on dental occlusion, its complexities, and related muscular-skeletal disorders (e.g., TMD). Between 1998 and 2001, he attended additional continuing education courses held annually at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. During this four-year period, he completed in-depth studies of aesthetics, restoration, and occlusion. Since 2003, Dr. Zane has attended numerous neuromuscular courses in implants, dentures, and orthodontics. Active in his community of professionals, Dr. Neil Zane is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). He is also a member of the New York Academy of Dentistry, the International College of Cranial-Mandibular Orthopedics (ICCMO), the North American Neuromuscular Study Club (NANSC), and the New York County Dental Society, where he also serves as a member of its Peer Review Committee. |
