Restoring Your Teeth

Dentures - Wearing and caring for your new dentures

Just like your natural teeth, dentures need to be taken care of and brushed daily on all sides. This will help prevent staining while maintaining a healthy mouth. We will provide you with a special brush, but any soft toothbrush may be used with cool or lukewarm water. Never use hot water as this may warp the denture. You can use mild soap or toothpaste but avoid any harsh abrasives or bleach! Be careful not to drop your dentures as they may break. When cleaning them, be sure to do so over a towel or a sink full of water. Most importantly, never allow your dentures to dry out. Always soak them in water or a denture cleanser when they are not being worn.
